What Is Asp ?

ASP is acronym for Active Server Pages which is used for developing web applications. It's a server side scripting language which runs on IIS, Apache, etc. It provides the flexibility of writing HTML and server side script in the same script source file (.asp), which is stored in webserver. When the user (client) send requests for the webpage, it executes through IIS in webserver and returns the response as HTML in browser window. The main disadvantage is that it's not fully object oriented and the code written in ASP is often non-structured. This means, there's no separation of concerns between the screen presentation and business logic, everything is written inside the same script file (sometimes as DLL files).
