I'm pursuing my MCA but I don't know know basic programming because I don't take interest in them but if I learn advance Excel, will it helpful for my career or not?

Hi Anjali.
Every certification will gain your theoretical knowledge, whereas it will be different when you come for work.
Gaining knowledge and investing in yourself is always good, but when you need a job, it is utmost to choose one particular field and get out of fresher grade, so that you can showcase your other talents.
I think.it is helpful for it carrer.but my sdvice for u that firstly revise your MCA and BCA syllabus.it is sufficient for job.if u want to teach so revise all syllabus.and want to job in company so basic knowledge of computer is sufficient for job but hav to show extra computer like new style of app etc.better ur luck

What do you want to do after your completion of course , according to that computer programming and excel will play role for you. If you want to get IT placements, then you should be frequent with programming and intellectual skills . Like if you opt for software designing, developers.
And many of the people dont know excel , so sound knowledge in MS excel can give you access to data analyst , MIS , business analysis . Big data and data science are are two significant fields.
