Anil did not hand the thief over to the police for various, one of which is because he believed that Hari was a good man and could come out of his thieving ways. He understood this when he placed the stolen money where it belonged. Another reason why he refused to hand him over to the police is that he was a person who saw the good in others. Not everyone would have reacted in the same manner, the majority would have handed over the thief to the police. Thus, in these ways Anil is different from other employers because to him few mistakes don't define the person.

No, Anne was not right when she said that the world would not be interested in her diary. As her musings have gone on to be published and have been widely read over the years. Her experiences and thought process has helped the readers of this diary understand the physical and emotional state of Jew at the time of the Holocaust. Thus, her musings are of great importance.
