Great question. Young's modulus is a material/intrinsic property of the material and is constant regardless of the change in dimension of the test specimen.
Y = Stress/ Strain = F*L/A*dl
Assume if you change the L to L/2 and r to r/2 i.e A to A/4 and Force required to get the same extension is also F/2, above equation becomes
Y = 4*F*L/4*A*dl = F*L/A*dl ( Same as above)

Velocity is the rate of change of displacement i.e Displacement/time. Vector quantity
Speed is the rate of change of distance i.e Distance/time. Scalar quantity
Let me give a quick example to understand the concept. Say a person in walking in his community with 1m/s in the east direction, 1 m/s in the north direction, 1m/s in west direction and 1m/s in south direction. Since velocity is a vector quantity and there is a change in direction velocity varies but the speed is not varying being a scalar quantity.

To understand the concept of Speed and velocity we need to first understand what displacement and distance are.
Displacement:- Overall change in position relative to the start point e.g. How much it is moved from the start point. It is a vector quantity.
Distance:- How much covered in total. It is a scalar quantity.
So by the above definition, Distance is always equal to greater than displacement. Let me give a small example to understand the concept clearly.
Suppose you are running a 400m race in the track, distance covered is 400m & displacement is 0 because you have reached the start point and hence no change in position.
Speed = Distance/time and Velocity = Displacement/time
Since, Distance >= Displacement, Always Speed >= velocity.

(i) It is obvious from the graph that since Velocity (v) lies on Y-axis and line B has the highest point along Y-axis it is having the higher velocity under comparison
(ii) The reason is Slope. Slope = y/x and if you calculate for both the curve you will find the slope for line B more compared to Line A for the same X and Y co-ordinates
