For a non-tech background person, both are similar; both Bigdata and Data science require coding knowledge. If a person is interested in coding like (Java which is similar to Spark and Python), they can choose between Bigdata and Datascience. At the same time, Data science opportunities are growing on a large scale. So Data science is the best opportunity in my perspective.
