If You are preparing for 10+2 level exam then NCERT is the best. But if you are a aspirant of IIT JEE or similar exam then I will recommend Arihant publication book for calculus, K.C. Sinha for Trigonometry and Geometry. The mathematics today will be very helpful for higher competitive examination.

Normally we find the inverse of matrix in 2 ways... 1. using the formula -- Inverse of A = (1/|A|) Adj(A)... You can observer determinant of A i.e. |A| is an real number if it is equal to zero the inverse of matrix is will be undefined. So |A| must be non zero. 2.
