Yoga is formed by 8 limbs. That is yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana & samadhi. Yoga is formed by 8 limbs. That is yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana & samadhi. Out of these first two limbs i.e. yama & niyama tpexplain about personal discipline & social discipline. Yama teach us truthfulness, non -violence, non-stealing, not expecting others belonging & brahmacharya i.e. surrunder to God. Where as niyama teach us cleanliness, happiness, austerity, selfstudy, surrender to God. By understanding this yama and niyama one can get to know how to behave and maintain the discipline. Next limb known to be asana it helpful to overcome dualities of mind, improves immune system of the body, overcomes many illness of human being. Pranayama helps to control of breath as well as mind. Pratyahara helps to control all sensory organs. Dharana is the next step of pratyahara helps to improve the one pointed concentration of the mind. Dhyana is nothing but meditation. It helps to overcome many psychosomatic diseases. Samadhi is ultimate bliss where our induvidual soul unite with God. Yoga deals with satvic food this help to improve the diet. So yoga is not only limited to asana, pranayama, meditation. But it is combination of 8 limbs. If one follows 8 limbs lifestyle will be allright at any situation. Thank you !
