Visible light is a mixture of different lights of different frequency and wavelength. When passes through a prism, the direction of light changes when coming through another side. As per Snell's law v1/v2= sin"A,/sinG
Velocity= frequency x wavelength
Frequency remains constant through the whole process, but due wavelength, we can see light spectrum which again achieves the same value as before, so the colour is associated with wavelength although it is changing.
