Teaching Experience in detail in Class 10 Tuition
It can be tricky to make sure that all my students have equal input and participation during class time. When I hold online lessons, I first start by reiterating my expectation that everyone has something of value to add to the discussion. While I don't like to call on anyone specifically, I continue to encourage all students to take part in class activities. I also let my students know that active participation counts towards their overall grade, which often motivates them to put in their best efforts and contribute to class. I love to find new ways to differentiate my lessons, activities and assessments so that I can connect with all my students. I always use a student interest survey geared towards learning styles and preferences, which helps me learn about the needs of my students. With this information, I can better develop activities and introduce concepts that fit with my students' unique educational needs. hen I conduct class discussions on important topics or current events, I first give students my expectations as a moderator. Then, I encourage students to give input on how they feel the discussion should proceed. During active discussion, I give students an equal amount of time for giving input and raising questions. Sometimes I call on students specifically to encourage their input so that all students have equal opportunity to contribute to the discussion. I encourage students to take advantage of my one-on-one sessions and help them schedule times to meet with me if they experience challenges in learning class material. I also use 10 minutes at the beginning of every class to answer questions about the previous day's concepts and review complex topics. I also make sure my students know I am always available to help them through email and our class communication channel.
