Hi,
Advanced Management Accounting is a very concept based subject. Classes from a good faculty helps however it is possible to study self study too provided you have sufficient time. In particular to AMA ICAI modules are excellent. AMA modules are wriitten in a way that makes very easy to understand concepts. if you complete modules and practice manual as well. its sufficient to score exemption. if you are aiming more, go for video classes atleast.

Hi,
Yes, you can study by yourself and still score above 50 in AMA.
You have to use ICAI material though,
So what I've done is, take practice manual solve every question, try to think how to solve, see how they have done, keep a separate note book and write how you thought it should be solved but what was done, or why you couldn't proceed while solving like a POINTS-TO-REMEMBER book.
Read that PTRs, just PTR's before solving, second time, solve them again.
You will see you've improved quite a lot.
This way you can do it, but you need to solve them at least 3 times before exam. I have solved just PM, if you think you have time you can go for SM too.
