First of all a teacher should be able to teach every thing that will be asked by the students.So he or she should be well learned in the subject and have good command on it.A teacher should be sincere in teaching the subject to the student.

So basically answer for the question is that both teacher and student shud put equal efforts and communication from both should be proper ,only from the teacher or only from student doesn't help read less
