Teaching Experience in detail in C++ Language Classes
I happened to get into C++ in 1994. Till 1997 I taught a melieu of students from colleges, corporates. From 1997 till 2015 I was in the industry doing projects in C, C++, C# and .Net. In 1915 my son was in the 11th Standard CBSE. I started teaching him C++ in the 11th and the 12th standard CBSE board. I happened to teach other CBSE students in the 11th and 12th standard in a local coaching institute close to my house in Nanganallur, Chennai. I thought of retiring from the software field. But after my teaching stints I discovered I liked teaching and more so C++. I decided to take up teaching as my active profession now. I definitely have a passion teaching C++ to students and there is definitely a challenge teaching to these yound minds. Also I want to take up teaching CBSE students only to start with. Presently I would prefer home tuitions only either at their residence or mine. My teaching style is simply based on a question-answer mode. I write a line of code. Explain it to them. Followed by queations like What is it? Why do you have to write like it? Are there any other ways of writing the code? Which is the most efficient code? I normally use Visual Studio 2015 communtity edition. I then write the code in TurboC++ and explain how it is different in the latest compiler and in older compilers if there is a need. Mostly follow the Sumitha Arora book for 11 and 12. I also use Stephen Prata's book C++ Primer Plus.
