Kala Pradarshini

Kala Pradarshini (Centre for Performing Arts and Cultural Activities) is a premier institute of dance, based in Chennai headed by its founder director, Parvathi Ravi Ghantasala, a vibrant artist imparting knowledge in the field of Bharatanatyam and allied arts. Parvathi possesses the unique ability to identify talent in children and to effortlessly mould the young ones into able performers in their own right.

Parvathi sees no age barriers and has had many with a love for dance enter its’ portals and blossom into capable dancers. It is this passion towards art and art education that resulted in Kala Pradarshini, dedicated to the pursuit of honing and nourishing unique talents. It has been Parvathi’s persistent dream and mission to provide enthusiastic artistes with a prestigious platform to showcase their talents and promulgate the cultural repertoire of India.

Several of Kala Pradarshini's talent have won State and National Recognition such as CCRT scholarships, Graded artists of Doordarshan, finalists of the Balashri awards, recipient of Kalai Ilaimani awards etc.

Kala Pradarshini, with its humble start from 1980, was formally inaugurated in the year 1998. The students of Kala Pradarshini have established various branches across the country, rooted to the parental institution.
