Early learners would not have been exposed much to wrong pronunciations. So, it would be very easy to get them the right pronunciation and accent through phonics. Also, they tend to easily read at a very early stage when they know the sounds. Their vocabulary building starts at a very early age as well.

No, if taught in right way, with interesting methods using correct examples, phonics is fun for children. Care should be taken on age appropriate topics being taught as phonics includes various information certain of which would be understandable as children grow up.
