GRE Coaching

" Firstly, thanks a lot to the faculty for your valuable guidance, without which it would have been impossible to score 318. I attribute my achievement to Princeton Review's exhaustive set of scientifically prepared study materials and practice questions and the way the concepts and techniques of problem solving are elucidated in class. GRE Verbal Section: In the revised edition, Verbal Reasoning Section has become much trickier than the previous version and is no longer a mere mug-up business. It is important that students practice as many questions as possible under proper guidance and closer the difficulty level of the practice questions are to that of original GRE, the better. In this respect, Princeton Review's study materials helped me immensely in my preparation, both in quality and quantity. On top of that the techniques that were taught in class are very easy to follow and employ under time bound examination environment.*GRE Quant Section: *I believe for any "cool-headed" Indian getting a score of 157 in Quantitative reasoning should be a cake-walk. But from 157 onwards it all depends on how smartly an individual can improvise. In this respect as well the problem solving techniques, particularly the ones which were based on Geometry, taught in class helped me greatly in tackling apparently straightforward but tricky questions. "

" The classes of Princeton Review GRE program helped me a lot. The Verbal classes were most beneficial and the materials supplied was also very good. But for my preparation the most helpful was the long set of online tests. These tests were very well designed as they were divided into different parts. It helped me identify my weakness and work on them. I shall definitely recommend Princeton Review to my friends aspiring for a decent score in GRE."

" The study materials that were provided to me in the form of books and practice books and in the form of online practice materials that was of tremendous help. In my first diagnostics test I achieved only 289 but as I kept on practicing those materials in a way proposed by my trainers Mr. Saurabh Sen(verbal) and Mr. Saikat Roy(maths) I gradually experienced the improvement and that reflected in the scores of the mock tests in which I scored 317-318 on an average. Though I got 314 (157+157) in the final test I still believe that I was prepared enough to get around 320-325 because not to mention that the original GRE test questions were much easier than the practice materials of PR, but unfortunately I achieved 314 because of the stress and tension of taking the original test. If asked I will certainly suggest any friend who is aspiring for GRE to avail the coaching and materials provided by PR. However I believe that the single blank sentence completion questions were too difficult or at least more difficult than I was advised to practice in PR by my trainers. In the mathematics section the inequality and number line type questions were a bit difficult than I learned to expect. However, in one word my experience with Princeton Review was excellent and I will really recommend PR as a trustworthy institution If anyone is aspiring for GRE."

" Thanks a lot! By the way, there is no question as to how I feel. I'm elated but I feel I could have scored a few more marks in the Quants part as all of the practice tests I had taken indicated the same. Anyway, my faculty were really great. Especially Anitha Mam. "My name is Shiven Khosla. I attempted the GMAT on 9th September' 12 and scored a 760 (Q: 51 V:40). I had joined The Princeton Review in the month of June with the aim of getting a score of a 700 on the GMAT. Back then 700 was the highest that I could have thought of. It was only after meeting the super competitive batch that I was a part of here at Princeton, that I realized that I must reset my score expectations. My Quantitative skills have always been decent. My undergraduate degree in Engineering, I must confess, did help me a lot on the Quant. I always knew that anything other than a 51 on Quant would shatter my dreams of a good score. This is where my Quant instructor, Tarun, made his entry. He assessed my weaknesses in a jiffy and gave me ways and means of solving questions in a matter of few seconds. Problem Solving, thanks to Tarun sir, became a cake walk for me. Data Sufficiency was no different. Tarun Sir instilled in me the ability to think the GMAT way and well that is precisely what got me a perfect 51 on my GMAT. Owing to the tips and tricks I picked up from Sir, I was done and over with my Quant section on my final day with 20 minutes to spare :) Though Quant was a friend right from day one, Verbal was a bitter enemy. I dreaded Reading Comprehensions, hated them so much that it was almost impossible to do anything about them. Critical Reasoning somehow came naturally to me, but there were a lot of incidences where I would always get stuck between the last two answer choices. Mansi, my Verbal instructor, came as a blessing in disguise. From pushing my RC accuracy up from a 50% to almost a 90% to helping me confidently pick the right answer choice when down to the last two, she did all that could humanly have been possible. Her responses to the questions on the group were always prompt and accurate. Classes were so challenging and so enriching, that there wasn't even a single moment when I did not learn something new. It was only due to Mansi's constant pushing and her never ending support that I finally landed up a 40 on Verbal. My genuine advice to anyone who is serious about the GMAT: The content that The Princeton Review asks your to solve is par excellence. Listen to what your teachers say and trust me there is no way that you are not touching your dream score"

" My name is Ankit. I attempted the GMAT on 23rd October'12 and scored a 730(Q: 51 V:37. When I started preparing for GMAT in the month of June, I did not have much clue about what I was heading towards. MBA, GMAT were words that I had heard of, but I was totally unaware of the effort that a good score called for. Math, I always thought was a piece of cake and something that I would easily storm through. Probably engineers walk in with this attitude :P How wrong I was!! the first class with Tarun Sir was a wake up call - the journey would not be as smooth as I had fathomed. Not that I couldn't solve questions, but speed was an issue. I would at times take more than 4-5 minutes to get through a question and this troubled me. Tarun Sir with his wonderful tips helped me plug this problem right from day one. He has a very straightforward and simple approach to solving problems. Adopting this approach helped me get a hang of doing questions in the stipulated time period. GMAT tests how mart you are and that is exactly what we became at PR - Smart! After having solved tough hand outs at class, the real test was a breeze. It's all because of Tarun Sir and his effort that I scored a 51.Verbal was definitely my achilles heel, and the main eason for my joining PR! My first Verbal class was a Sentence Correction session. I was so overwhelmed with the amount of expertise that little sentences demanded that for once I wanted to put an end to the entire GMAT story. I decided not to give up and carried on.As the other question types unfolded-Reading Comprehension and Critical Reasoning, I was totally zonked! Verbal for me was some arcane language that I just couldn't seem to decipher at all. I would have scored pathetically had it not been for my exceptionally talented Verbal teacher. Mansi was extremely patient and co-operative. Her command over the english language was very reassuring. Her explanations were so simple and perfect that slowly I started to get a hold over things. My comfort level with a variety of questions increased leaps and bounds. Mansi woud never hesitate from going out of her way to help a student learn the skills to tackle a problem.Other than the regular classes, Mansi would often call me for extra help sessions where she would sit down with me and help resolve all my doubts. Emails, phone-calls, in person doubt sessions, she would be always ready to help. From a below average score on Verbal to begin with to a 37 on the final day, the journey has not been easy. I would want to give full credit for the same to Mansi and the entire TPR team.GMAT is an intelligent and a wonderful exam and only experts can help you get through it. The Princeton Review has surely been a wonderful experience...an experience that every GMAT taker deserves"

This score, especially in the Verbal Section, which is considered tough by most candidates wouldn't have been possible without your guidance. Your constant emphasis on using strategies for SC, CR and RC proved extremely helpful and helped me get a 41 score in Verbal. You were always available for clarifying doubts and re-explaining important concepts. In fact, u took personal interest in tracking my progress and identifying my weak areas. More than studies, the constant motivation you provided me with was invaluable. You always told me 'You are a High Scorer' and this gave me confidence and inner strength.
