C = 6r+2 = 2(pi)r 6r+2 =6.28r 0.28r=2 r=7.143(approx) ...(i) put the value of "r" in (ii), area of circle = pi(r*r) ...(ii)

Given: circumference of circle = 2 + 6 (r) find: area Solution: 2 * pi * r = 2 + 6r 44/7r = 2 + 6r 44/7r - 6r =2 2/7r = 2 r=7units area pi * 49 = 154 Sq. Units

Follow these steps to find the area of a circle. You will also learn how to find the area of a sector 1Calculate the length of the radius. If you only know (or have measured) the diameter (the distance from one side of the circle to the other), then divide it by two to obtain the radius. The radius of a normal circle is always one-half of the diameter. 2.Read the formula. The formula for finding the area of a circle is Area equals pi multiplied by (r squared) 3Multiply the radius by itself to square it. For example, if your radius was 6 cm, your radius squared would be 36 cm squared. Multiply the result you get from Step 3 by pi. (Use this also in "Finding the Area of a Sector"). If the instructions say "leave in terms of pi" or "exactly", then just stick the pi onto your answer (for example, the area of the circle = ?36 cm^2.) If you just round it to 3.14, it's not at all exact. There is no way to show it exactly besides leaving the pi sign. If the instructions say anything about rounding, replace pi with 3.14 or use your calculator's pi button. read less

Circumference of a circle= 2piR according to ques 2piR is 2 more then 6R so 2piR=6R+2 from this eq. we can find R and then area of circle is pi*(R^2) putting the value of R we can find the answer.

2*?*r=6r+2 ?*r=3r+1 (?r-3r)=1 r(?-3)=1 r=1/(?-3) Now area =?*r*r A=?*((1/(?-3)*1/(?-3)) A=?/((?*?)-6?+9)
