Case 1.) Multiplication of two digit numbers ending in five and tens place having the same number.
- 25x25 = 625
Modus Operandi:
Multiply the units digits i.e, :5x5 = 25
Now for the tens digit. Multiply 2 with its immediate next number i.e.:3 So you get 2x3=6
Hence the answer = 625.
Case 2:) Multiplication of two digit numbers ending with 5 and units digits are different but their sum is 10.
- 65x45 = 2925
Modus Operandi:
5x5 = 25 as above,
Now to multiply the tens digits. 6+4=10 (necessary condition: sum should always be 10)
- 6x4 = 24
- 24+5 = 29
Hence the answer = 2925
- 85x25 = 2125
- 15x95 = 1425
- 35x75 = 2625
- 45x65 = 2925
- 55x55 = 3035
