Internal communication (IC) is the continuous dialogue among the employee of an organization to improve its services, promote pride and a sense of unity among themselves. IC is fundamentally a management discipline. The IC function performs the role of 'internal marketing' (i.e., attempting to win participants over to the management vision of the organization); in another, it might perform a 'logistical' service as channel manager; in a third, it might act principally as strategic adviser. Where as external communication (EC) is the transmission of information between an organization and another entity in the organisation's external environment. EC takes place with customers, potential customers, suppliers, investors, shareholders, and the community. In both the cases you can strengthen your communication skill only by improving your subject knowledge, logical interpretation and conclusions. To improve your oratory power/speaking power, read and read dialogue based story books, novels of reputed writers both in your vernacular & English. Always speak first and logically arrange the words for any answer; continuously speak to yourself. Increase your vocabulary (word power) with both synonyms and antonyms. read less
