Communication in today's world has become a huge thing. No matter how qualified we are academically & technically if we are unable to put it across in an effective manner we fail to succeed. Communication is so important to maintain our work & personal relationships. In my several years of Corporate & teaching experience, I feel there are three keys to being an effective Communicator no matter what language you are communicating in.
These are -
1) Being clear in our mind what we want to communicate. Have a mental framework built up before we start the actual speaking.
2) Being a good listener which also means adding warmth and compassion for your listener. It's like allowing them to interact with you, allowing them the time to absorb what we are saying
3) Above all believing in "I am a good speaker". This is the most important part as far as I am concerned. The moment we believe we can speak/ communicate well all our nervousness & lack of confidence is gone. We are relaxed & ready to start the process of effective communication.
Cheers & best of luck in improving your Communication skills!
