I am 18+ now.Though I have never learned dancing I am very much interested amd passionate about learning Bharatnatyam or Kathak but I lack confidence as people of my age are already very good dancers.Moreover,now I have pressure of my studies. So how can I start learning any one of the classical dance forms as soon as possible?

I m doing PhD in dance.... And teaching from many years...
I have students of age 3 to 55+also .. And I think dance is an art which can be learnt at any point of life....
It's a stress buster .... And calms us... Dance is another form of meditation ....
It's a language in itself ...

Hi Navoneela, first of all you have a beautiful name and secondly there is no age barrier of doing or for learning anything in your entire life. You are still very young to start with dancing. You can start with evening classes alternate days in a week after your studies. This will help you complete you studies on time also.

Well first thing... Don't look at others if you wanna succeed in a line... Some people start dancing at the age of 30 and become great in it... So there is no required age to start learning... your aim is to be better day by day.....its not that hard to keep up with your studies while dancing... I'm 18, i dance and study...and thatst not tough...so i say you should go for it if your geart says so...
read lessThere is no age limit of learning anything. Just zeal n passion towards anything would work. I myself is an example. I have started learning fine art in the age of 28yrs. At that time people of my age were very good painting artists. But now i am exhibiting my work all over India and won awards on international level. All the best.
