• The zeal to serve mankind has inspired me to take up the noble profession of teaching which has entrusted me to educate the future builders of the nation. My 31 years of teaching English in various schools Pan India confirms that teaching second language to students in the country is no more a great challenge by a committed teacher having creative and innovative techniques.
• I have worked at private school in California US, I have headed the English department at Xavier’s Delhi and is CBSE Resourse person, head examiner and observer.
• To make the language learning process simple for my students using easy communicative skills and technology in day-to-day life, I have designed interactive self-paced program with Orange Slate and conducted webinars on All India level for Innovative English Pedagogy
• My research articles Memes: Creative Technological strategy for ESL learners, Ted Talk A collaborative tech tool, Diasporic Literature in Indian English writing- A perspective, on creative English strategies which have been published in national and international journals. These methodologies have been actively employed in the classrooms not only to motivate students to learn and appreciate the language but also sustain their interest.”
• I am of the belief that if a learner is able to use the language at an early date, it becomes part of the learning process besides giving confidence. Oratory skills are polished by successfully holding debates, elocutions, declamation, essay writing competition, personality contest and dramatic activities. • The rich cultural ethos, forms an integral part of my personality, which in turn proved to be fruitful seeds in collaborative learning amidst the less privileged sections of the society which not only made me the popular teacher among my students but my services were recognised by awarding me famous Dr S Radhakrishnan memorial national teacher’s award. Minister of Human Resource Development appreciated my efforts for stellar performance of students in Senior School Certificate Examination of C.B.S.E IN 2015. Over the years I have also acquired language proficiency relevant to the examination & has been handpicked by CBSE to work as Recourse person, Head Examiner and observer. International Olympiad of English Language – 2010 acknowledged my potential of preparing students to perform well and displaying exceptional planning & execution capabilities.
• I had the privilege to be part of constructive classroom conversations: Mastering language for the common core state standards by Stanford university. Attended Capacity building program in challenging areas in English core by CBSE in 2015 & 2019.Took part in national workshop cum panel discussion on English for empowerment organised by ELTAI Delhi chapter besides attending seminars, workshops, online courses on English language to update my teaching skills.
• The varied flavours of the media world have also been tasted by me as News Reader in Jammu and Kashmir Dooradarshan and has vide experience in conducting educational classes on Jammu and Kashmir Radio.
• Professional institutes like ‘VETA’ ‘HERO MINDMINE’ & BRAINWAVE hired me as language trainer to enhance verbal skills, confidence & overall personality.
I understand youth as tender saplings which if nurtured with love, care and understanding would grow into fruitful trees. To add rainbow colours to their life, I have written plays, short stories, Articles for them which have been appreciated and published in various magazines. I am sure my passion, knowledge and capabilities will grow leaps and bound and take me closer to my goal of establishing my professional prowess in educational sphere.
