Hello, this question is very well posed, online classes can be monotonous and various other issues including technical drawbacks can affect one's attention span. It is based on how much effort the teacher as well as the student is putting in to process through the online classes and make it more cherishable.

A very effective method to start working on your vocabulary can be started from picking up a newspaper daily and spending time to skim through the editorial section of the same. Apart from reading listening to audiobooks and making it a point to learn at least one new word every day; vocabulary is vast and fluid, to remain consistent efforts should be made on routine bases.
