I am stupid, I am Dumb, I am weak at school, I forget easily, I can’t read, I can’t focus, I can’t learn anything, I can’t score good marks, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t……….
These kinds of limiting belief we might have in our head running many times, sometimes your parent’s teachers of someone tell something rubbish like this. When you suppose to pay attention your mind would start wandering off and start thinking about everything else but what you suppose to be focusing on. You will think about what you will eat later, which TV program you will watch later, where you will you going out for picnic etc., etc. so everything else you will thing other than things you will be focusing on. All these random thoughts or other negative thoughts keep circling around you or your kids due to negative and limiting beliefs.
These negative thoughts, many times are self-imposed and externally influenced comments. Every time that you allow one of these negative thoughts to influence your mind, you will be creating a wall of limiting beliefs for self. This wall slows down dramatically the rate at which you are able to absorb information. What you need to do is develop big hammer of positive thoughts which well break down this wall of negative thoughts every time it starts building.
You want to see things such as, I have being given the amazing gift of being able to absorb and retain knowledge quickly, I have a powerful and smart mind. I can get and stay focus at will…. So on and so forth.
By countering those negative thoughts with positive ones, you are going to allow the flow of new information to get processed at an expedited rate. Compared to when you had that dark wall of negative thoughts preventing the information to flow easily.
These positive thoughts are also called as affirmation. Your brain can’t differentiate between imagination and reality due to that when you watch movies you laugh and cry similarly, you can visualize this positive affirmation and your brain will start accepting those.
At first, you are probably not going to be that comfortable with telling yourself these new and empowering things that you repeat an affirmation. It’s going to see weird to you and there will be more than likely be rejected by yourself – you will say that these new thoughts don’t really represent who you are and that you are still not good enough. But what you MUST do is continuing to repeat the positive assertions about yourself. Be your own radio station and play these new tracks repeat in your mind until you start to fully accept them as truth. Because they are your new truth! You are Smart, you are a Genius! You can learn anything quickly.
