Dear Language Aspirants,
How to choose a foreign language depends on many factors:
1. For employment in India:
India remains a big market for offshore/outsourcing processes. The MNC's having their business/clients in non-English speaking require employees with respective Foreign Language.
German:- Germany being the Economical & Business hub for entire Europe provides lot more employment as outsourced to India. It covers Automobile industry (Merc, BMW, Audi, VW, Porsche), world's third largest manufacturing nation in medical technology production; also huge opportunities in mechanical & plant engineering industry.
Japanese & Chinese: For Business & Technological advancement, there are many companies having tie-ups with Japan & China. But as learning these languages require to learn a completely different script, it is obviously little tough, and may not be chosen as a HOBBY to learn.
2. For Further Studies:
German, French & Spanish - any one of them can be chosen for studies in Europe. In Germany the cost of Studies is negligible due to Govt. funded studies.
3. For Travel & Leisure:
Of course French & Spanish are the ones to choose for this purpose. Both of them are the topmost languages spoken in the world after English
Disclaimer: This is my personal opinion on choosing a foreign language to learn. The students/candidates should do their own research for their final decision.
