These are myself, yourself, himself, herself, ourselves, themselves etc. In German what would be the form of reflexive depends on the which case you are using Accusative or Dative case. Refer the examples below (Accusative in comparison to dative reflexive pronouns which has indirect object.) Ich wasche das Auto. NOT REFLEXIVE: I’m washing the car. Ich wasche mich. REFLEXIVE: I’m washing myself. Ich ziehe mich an. I’m getting dressed. Ich schminke mich. I’m putting on makeup. Ich rasiere mich. I’m shaving. Ich entspanne mich. I’m relaxing. Ich ziehe mich an. ACCUSATIVE: I’m getting dressed. Ich ziehe mir einen Mantel an. DATIVE: I’m putting on a coat. Ich wasche mich. ACCUSATIVE: I’m washing myself. Ich wasche mir die Hände. DATIVE: I’m washing my hands. When the doer of a verb and the receiver is the same, you have a reflexive pronoun. E. g I enjoyed myself, you please yourself, he cut himself, they hurt themselves etc. This form is very popular in German. We will say: " Ich putze mir die Zaehne", Du ziehstsich an", Er duscht sich" etc.
