The GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) syllabus includes math concepts up to a level typically taught in high school (9th to 12th grade), but it doesn't focus on any specific curriculum like the 12th-grade syllabus.

The quantitative section of the GMAT covers two main areas:

  1. Arithmetic:

    • Basic operations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
    • Fractions, percentages, ratios
    • Powers and roots, integers, and absolute values
  2. Algebra:

    • Linear equations, quadratic equations
    • Inequalities
    • Functions
  3. Geometry:

    • Lines, angles, triangles, circles
    • Coordinate geometry
    • Basic properties of polygons and areas
  4. Word Problems:

    • Rate and work problems, interest, mixtures
    • Set theory, probability, and statistics

While the math is not too advanced, the challenge is often in the application of these concepts rather than their complexity
