The CAT (Common Admission Test) and GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test) syllabi differ in focus, structure, and content: CAT (for Indian business schools): 1. _Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (VARC)_: English language, comprehension, and verbal skills. 2. _Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning (DILR)_: Data analysis, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. 3. _Quantitative Ability (QA)_: Mathematics, algebra, geometry, and numerical skills. GMAT (for global business schools): 1. _Analytical Writing Assessment (AWA)_: Essay writing, analysis, and communication skills. 2. _Integrated Reasoning (IR)_: Data analysis, logical reasoning, and problem-solving. 3. _Quantitative Reasoning (QR)_: Mathematics, algebra, geometry, and numerical skills. 4. _Verbal Reasoning (VR)_: English language, comprehension, and verbal skills. Key differences: - CAT focuses on verbal ability, data interpretation, and quantitative ability, with a stronger emphasis on logical reasoning and problem-solving. - GMAT includes an analytical writing section, integrated reasoning, and a separate verbal reasoning section, with a broader focus on communication skills and data analysis. While there is some overlap in topics, the syllabi and question types differ. If you're preparing for both exams, be sure to study the specific syllabus and format for each test. read less
