This course is for students in school who have Spanish as an extra language or for students preparing for higher studies in Spanish-speaking countries. It requires a zero-knowledge of Spanish to start - but the student must be well versed with English.
The course is imparted online using any video-chat application suitable for the student which could be whatsapp, zoom, skype, or even fb messenger. For maintaining focus during the session we use google docs, which serves as a whiteboard during the session. The google docs file also backs up as a place to review homework and submit assignments, while ensuring that both the student and the instructor can save documentation for later reference. This is in fact a very efficient method of retention of learned material.
By the end of 1 month (8 sessions) students will be able to make sentences in simple Spanish and be understood by native Spanish speakers if they are interacting as tourists or buying groceries, filling forms, introducing themselves or even socially conversing.
For this level of course, students do not need to buy any books or additional materials. Everything is provided in the google doc which can be retained by them even after the course.
