How to find whether a sequence of numbers are in Arithmetic Progression or not?

Let take a series a1,a2,a3,a4,a5,a6,a7.... for finding that this series is in A.P or not we have to check the difference between two terms like:- a2-a1 and this difference should be equal to the next consecutive terms difference it means :- a2-a1=a3-a2=a4-a3 and so...
