Smt. Lakshmi Sowjanya Desaraju is the daughter of Sri. Lakkaraju Venkata Ramana and
Smt. Lakkaraju Lalitha. She has been trained in Kuchipudi under the guidance of
her father and Guru Sri. Lakkaraju Venkata Ramana from the age of 10.
Lakshmi Sowjanya got trained under legendary gurus like VIDWAN Sri Vedantam Radheshyam, Dr.Sri
Chinta Ramanadham, Dr.Sri Vedantam Ramalinga Sastry, Sri Vedantam
Venkatachalapathi and Sri Lakkaraju Venkata Ramana.
At the age of fourteen,
Sowjanya topped the state in the Kuchipudi dance exams with a distinction.
She
Excelled in her studies as well and secured distinction in Graduation.

Lakshmi Sowjanya has a Dance Certificate and Diploma with Distinction in
Kuchipudi from Potti Sreeramulu Telugu Viswa Vidhyalayam. She also received
CCRT Scholarship from Government of India. Lakshmi Sowjanya has around 10
years of experience and has given over 950 performances in various places like
Bihar, Kerala, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Kuchipudi, Tirupati, Cochin, Calcutta,
Kanipakam, Kakinada, Visakhapatnam, Ujjaini, Mantralayam and Other Places.
