If you are a beginner, let's be honest, it can be hard for you. But once you start preparing and learning English not just for the sake of IELTS only, to enhance your knowledge as well. You will also begin to feel an inclination towards the language.
Working on grammar and vocabulary helps you to improve your reading skills. Reading regularly will surely help to understand complex sentence structure, also will upsurge your vocabulary. So it is advisable to read as much as you can. Once you start getting the context, you will be able to have excellent command over English.
Generally, it is suggested that one might need at least three months to prepare for IELTS. But a definite plan of 2 weeks is enough for some too. Practising is key. The more you practise, the more confidence you will gain.
In a nutshell, you don't need any specific period to prepare for IELTS, all you need is to stay focused, to have zeal and enthusiasm. And trust me you are going to do well in this exam if you practice regularly.
