This entirely depends upon your choice, ambition and your past academic performance all taken together commensurating with your own aptitude.While doing B.Sc. one thing should be kept in mind that after this qualification almost all doors of major competitive examinations are opened for you. Tha road to success is somewhat difficult but very rewarding in terms of job satisfaction and your position in society. You may get a better chance to do for development of your society, your own people. On the other hand if you do B.Tech. from a good institution you ay get employment on the basis of your achievement in B.Tech. itself.So much depends upon your ambition and of course your aptitude.

Or solely depends on if your interests lies on basic science or technical aspects of it. Taking BSc will help you to pursue research in your respective field, aim higher, grow strong in Foundation and perhaps can end up with post doctoral. On the other hand, taking up B.E and looking for job would be hindrance to your growth provided you took up B.E at IIT level. You can pursue mtech later on.. The technical aspects are comparatively easy to understand at job sectors and hence the sector is crowded, hence creating more applications for less intake. But if you are govt registered engineer, then you can get to seek some profitable work on term basis

i think btech would be a more suitable option ,because as things are moving towards technology and the govt jobs are depleting it makes sense if you have a technical degree.after doing btech you would atleast be getting recruited in any of those it giants like TCS and Infy(mass recruiters) or any other startup,this way you would become financially independent ,and after gaining certain work experience you can apply to govt jobs like psus,banks or give ssc-cgl ,or become an IAS officer.if you dont believe me just look at the merit list of banking exams or upsc , majority of the toppers are from technical background and have a certain work experience too.

I will be mentioning some cases.
1) if you have hurry to get job
go for btech, BUT make a good academic record in btech to get a good job.
2) if you have the willings and patience to study deep
go for bsc honours because the amount to study is huge. you really need to work hard to get good result.
3) if you do not have the patience to study but you are intelligent
go for btech. because engineering subjects needs inteligent brain to make good academic record( if you be honest during exam). There will be pressure of assignments and course completion in short time. But the material will not be as hard as bsc
