How can I learn Java from home?

The best way to learn any technology is to:

Step 1- Read in brief about the language from online source.

Step 2- Understand basic syntax.

Step 3- Take some mini project and start building from scratch right away and learn through the process.

I would highly recommend Java, for two reasons:

• It is a solid object-oriented (OO) language from the ground up. It doesn’t have OO added as an afterthought, such as in C++ or Python.
• It is in high demand. You want a job? Know Java.

Java in itself is a relatively simple tech stack to acquire skills in and can be successfully mastered in a fairly short span of time, however, there is a caveat. As a beginner, much of the learner’s interest lies in the hands of the instructor and the manner in which the course is delivered to the learner. Inefficient guidance and coaching can pretty quickly lead to the learner losing interest in the subject, in worst cases - programming as a whole.

In my learning journey, I came to realize that a vast majority of resources available for learning Java - books, PDF material, tutorials, etc., are not beginner friendly. In majority of cases, I felt that the author/tutor was in a hurry to get to the end of the course and was not educating the rationale behind writing those pieces of code.

Java programming is the most widely known coding language out there. It holds the second position on Github. JAVA has been ruling the industry since decades and it is never going to rust out. Because of Java's ease of use, cross-platform capabilities, robustness, and security features, it has become a language of choice for providing worldwide Internet solutions. It is a very sophisticated language, superficial knowledge won’t help here.
