First, always solve the body part that has pain, then think about the weight loss.
I know it's a long process and takes a relatively long time to repair, but you can do those exercises that are not harming the body part have some pain until you can control your diet to lose some weight.
Please note that whether it's any part of the body pain, a person who knows yoga can only help you prevent the pain and simultaneously a weight loss.

Fitness depends on two factors: Physical and Emotional, having a balance in both and you can achieve anything. If one of these factors are unbalanced, that means you require more training to balance those; body fitness is the goal for everyone. Still, people ignore emotional health sometimes, but that is also equally important.
Being happy, consistent, peace in mind comes after yoga and meditation. Everyone should practise this.
