I, was introduced to the rich heritage of Indian music and dance at the age of 4. Rigorous training on music classes under the guidance of Thiruvizha Shri.Surendran and Shri. Chandramana Narayanan Namboothiri were a regular routine after my school hours. At the same time I was guided through the beautiful and mesmerising path of dance by those great gurus Kalamandalam Smt. Sumathi and Kalamandalam Shri.Prabhakaran. I was regular at all youth festivals including state, universities and other cultural societies at that time, performing for these categories. Training that I had on both music and dance helped me to understand the rich heritage of Indian art in great detail.
Even though I did my post graduation in finance and pursued my career in that field for around 7 years, my heart was in music. I decided to take my passion of music as life and dedicate fully to my passion. I took a post graduation in Music from School of Drama and Fine Arts, Trissur, Calicut University. I further enriched my knowledge under the guidance of Smt. Santhala Raju and Smt. Mahitha Varma.
I impart training on music, and carnatic music in particular, apart from doing concerts and is currently based at Delhi. Music is soothing and has healing powers and is a topic of research as music therapy which is interesting. To spread the knowledge of music, making it to reach the younger generations and to preserve this rich culture is my dream.
