Dance is a powerful ally for developing many of the attributes of a growing child. Dance helps children mature physically, emotionally, socially, and cognitively.
Dance involves a greater range of motion, coordination, strength and endurance than most other physical activities. This is accomplished through movement patterns that teach coordination and kinaesthetic memory. Dancing utilizes the entire body and is an excellent form of exercise for total body fitness. Young children are naturally active, but dance offers an avenue to expand movement possibilities and skills.
Dance also promotes psychological health and maturity. Children enjoy the opportunity to express their emotions and become aware of themselves and others through creative movement.
Buoyant Performing Arts plans to make professional training in dance available to young talented children. The program is designed for serious young dancers ages 8 and up who are interested in a concentrated and focused study of dance. The program offers outstanding training opportunities for talented young dancers focusing on strengthening their core technique, imagination, movement vocabulary and performance abilities that would give them an edge and prepare them for competitions and reality shows.
BALLET â?? The classical form originated from France is included in the training program to ensure better flexibility, balance, co-ordination and strength.
