There are four modules in the IELTS test. Listening and Reading are real objective situations,, whereas Speaking and Writing are subject to an abstract happening. Listening, try to imagine the situation. I would also suggest listening to an audio story; it's not too tricky to picturise the story as if it's happening. Almost the same applies to Reading. A passage on Pyramids should force you to picturise the Pyramids' majesty,, and that will surely help. For speaking, imagine a talkative and inquisitive aunt who is asking you a lot of questions. For Writing, concentrate on sentences, paragraphing, punctuations and the overall mainstay of the topic.
