Utpal Ray

I am a professional guitarist and would love to share my passion for guitar. I have completed my graduation in B.Com from Kolkata University. I have more than two decades of experience in the field. I have been the Music arranger and lead guitarist of the Rock Fusion band Mantra since 2008. I have also been playing live music concerts with the band flat fifth, a classic rock and blues band, and various other bands for the last twelve years.

I have been interested in music since my younger days, so I started teaching students. My achievements include; Performing with Sparsh, a band representing Kolkata, in Idea Rocks India, a national band competition held in Mumbai. It was aired on the Colors TV channel in 2009, and the band qualified as a top-five contestant. I also made an appearance on television to perform in Misfit, a show aired on DD7 (Doordarshan Bangla), with band Dinga, a Bengali folk band. I am currently working as a music director/composer. I play the rock and blues genre of music with equal proficiency on electric and acoustic guitar.

My classes are conducted online and offline modes, individually. The duration of the classes is thirty to forty minutes each day. My classes are systematically structured and well-planned. I begin teaching from the basic level and end at the advanced level of guitar. The course takes about two and a half years to complete. My classes are highly interactive and student-centred. I provide lesson plans and notes for musical theory too. Students could freely access my videos for learning and practising purposes. My classes are object-oriented, and I know how to prepare actual request outcomes for my students.
