When introducing yourself in Korean, you can follow these basic steps. Keep in mind that the level of formality may vary depending on the situation and the people you are addressing.

1. Greetings:

  • To say "Hello": 안녕하세요 (Annyeonghaseyo)
  • Use this polite and common greeting to start your introduction.

2. Name:

  • To say "My name is": 제 이름은 [Your Name] 입니다 (Je ireumeun [Your Name] imnida)
  • Insert your name where it says [Your Name].

3. Origin:

  • To say "I am from [Your Country]": [Your Country] 출신이에요 ( [Your Country] chulsin-ieyo)
  • Replace [Your Country] with the name of your country.

4. Occupation:

  • To say "I am a [Your Occupation]": 저는 [Your Occupation] 입니다 (Jeoneun [Your Occupation] imnida)
  • Insert your occupation where it says [Your Occupation].

5. Age (Optional):

  • To say "I am [Your Age] years old": 제 나이는 [Your Age] 살이에요 (Je naineun [Your Age] sal-ieyo)
  • Include your age if you feel comfortable sharing it.

6. Closing:

  • To say "Nice to meet you": 만나서 반갑습니다 (Mannaseo bangapseumnida)
  • This phrase expresses that you are pleased to meet the other person.

So, a simple self-introduction might look like this:

안녕하세요 (Annyeonghaseyo) 제 이름은 [Your Name] 입니다 (Je ireumeun [Your Name] imnida) [Your Country] 출신이에요 ( [Your Country] chulsin-ieyo) 저는 [Your Occupation] 입니다 (Jeoneun [Your Occupation] imnida) 만나서 반갑습니다 (Mannaseo bangapseumnida)

Remember to adjust the level of formality based on the context and the people you are talking to. If you are in a casual setting with friends, you might use more informal language, but in formal situations or with people older than you, maintaining politeness is advisable.
