  1. Go to File > Options > Add-Ins 
     
     
  2. In the Manage box, click COM Add-ins > Go 
     
     
  3. Check the Microsoft Office Power Pivot box, and then click OK 
     
     
  4. This will add the Power Pivot tab to Excel 
     
     
  5. Import your dataset into your Power Pivot workbook 
     
     
  6. Create a data model 
     
     
  7. On the Power Pivot tab, click the arrow below PivotTable and select PivotChart 
     
     
  8. Select Existing Worksheet and click OK 
     
     
  9. Excel will add an empty PivotChart to the same worksheet
