Shree Chakrapani School of Art is a result of a through thought of like minded artists, who themselves have hailed fromEstablishment
rural areas. It is a dream child of Suresh K. Pandavarakallu. The difficulty he experienced when he wanted to undergo art education during his childhood is the very reason behind the birth of this institution. With an aim to provide an opportunity for systematic study and dissemination of fine arts, which helps for all round development of human being and offers a cultured mentality, shree chakrapani school of art was established onNovember 27, 2003 . The school was later registered in the name of shreechakrapani fine arts and educational trust on 6th April 2006 , for the convenience of administration and development.Popular as the port town of Karnataka, Mangalore is a place of rich cultural variety. It is a base for several folk, fine arts and culture. Beautiful geographical features, religious and tourist places with unique historical and mythological back ground are the specialties of the region. The developments in modern technology, has resulted in industries flooding towards the city. Despite of this, the city that has preserved its traditional charm, has been a shelter to several fine arts including drawing and painting.

Providing an opportunity for children to identify themselves in the society by bringing the latent talents out and adopting self – confidence, patience, concentration through art, thus preparing quality human resource to the society.

? Co-ordination of creative, critical and academic aspects of fine arts.
? Taking fine arts to wider spectrum to reach every home.
? Continuous fine arts activities involving various aspects and themes.
? Creation of a net work of artists and art institutions to strive for the above.
MISSION :
Shree Chakrapani Fine Arts and Educational Trust is formed with a view to further the intentions of the trust, on national and international level. It is proposed to organize, out reach activities by conducting workshops and to teach the theories of drawing and painting, through practice, for which further efforts in the documentation of artistic materials and the dissemination of the same are of primary importance.
The activities will be conducted to ensure maximum benefits for the individual growth of art lovers.
OBJECTS:
? Preference to drawing and painting, among fine arts.
? Drawing and painting competitions at district, state and national levels in order to encourage students, up coming artists.
? Encouragement and scholarship to backward, poor students who have interest in drawing and painting.
? Recognizing, honouring talents, who have done considerable achievements in drawing and painting.
? District/state/national level art camps for art students and artists.
? Opportunity for art exhibitions (sole / group)
? Special art camps for rural children, who are interested in drawing and painting.
? Establishment of art institutions and art gallery.
? Setting up art related self-employment training centre.
? Organising drawing and painting, events in collaboration with like minded organizations.
? Programmes to preserve and enrich traditional arts.
? Publication of monthly art magazine/news letter.
? Library related to fine arts.
? To preserve, promote, disseminate lalit kala in its constituent formats.
? Identification of talented artists in the field of drawing and painting and to provide them state and national platform.
? Revival of vanishing art types and to carry out audio-visual documentation of such forms.
? To aid social causes through the medium of fine arts while simultaneously promoting talent.
