In my thoughts, to master your English fluency, you have to listen to the words and understand it to remember it for years.
In the later stages of your life, you will find it difficult to memorise it because learning without listening is a foolish thought. It is never going to make you perfect because knowledge is not limited; it's infinite. Whatever you can get, try to listen and understand; be it be grammar or spoken accent. You can also decide the accent you want to talk (we have different accents: American, Britain and Australian).
Most importantly, if you don't love it, you will never master it.
