Why is finally introduced in Java?

finally is block which executes every time regardless exception has occurred or not. Finally is important in case you want to do some task which must be done like clean-up, db connection closure, memory de-allocation etc.

Can you use abstract and final both with a method? Why?

No you can't. Abstract methods are meant to be overridden but Final methods are not meant to be overridden. Thus these two, being exactly opposite, can't be used together.

What is the difference between abstraction and encapsulation?

Encapsulation is process of wrapping components into a package and thus hide the information which aren't required by users. Abstraction is process of exposing functionalities as features without exposing the details. For e.g. Employee class can contain properties like Id, Name, Title etc.... ...more
Encapsulation is process of wrapping components into a package and thus hide the information which aren't required by users. Abstraction is process of exposing functionalities as features without exposing the details. For e.g. Employee class can contain properties like Id, Name, Title etc. wrapped under single unit which is Employee class. It also contains a function named CreateEmployee. Now, the actual implementation of CreateEmployee is hidden due to encapsulation but via the function we can access the feature without knowing the details about how an employee is being created. This is abstraction.

I want to rethrow an exception, is that possible?

What do you mean by rethrow? Are you trying to ask if one can raise the exception again once it's handled in catch? If yes, then yeah we can. We need to use throw keyword. Something like this try{ //code } catch (exception ex) { //log the exception or do whatever you want. throw... ...more

What is difference between throw and throws in Java programming?

Throw is used whenever we want to raise an exception. Throws is used at function or class level to indicate that this may raise exception during the course of execution and thus jvm handles it.
