Autocad is basically computer aided drafting in 2d and 3d. It's a faster way of making any kind of drawings and an essential software which forms the base of your other softwares like revit, sketchup, 3dmax etc.
Revit is building information modelling software. It's a advance version of making drawing. You create plans, sections, elevations, and 3d simultaneously in this software. It also calculates you scedules and structural details.
