These government exams are conducted all over Maharashtra, once in an year usually in the last week of September. Candidates have to appear for six subjects such as: Design, Memory drawing, Still-life, Nature, Freehand and Geometry. Grades are awarded to successful candidates on the basis of merit. The certificates which are issued, thereafter, enable them to secure admission into various Fine Art-colleges as well as Comercial Art colleges
