It must be noted that such a robot is very similar to what first year engineering students learn at some reputed foreign and Indian universities -however your child will be making a simpler version of it. Learning Outcomes:-
- Critical thinking and algorithmic skills
- Use ESP/Arduino: This chip is the brain of the robot. It will be used as a controller for the robot. Students will learn how to program this chip. The learnings from programming this chip can be applied to Arduino programming as well.
- Algorithms: This is the heart of the robot. Mastering algorithms becomes even more important to debug and achieve a goal.
- Use Blockly and analysis of code: This tool will help your children to write code in a block form similar to Scratch programming. This tool will strengthen their coding skills.
- Use electronic equipment widely available in stores: Students will be using equipment that is readily available at most of the local shops (on Lamington Road). Hence, they can potentially build similar robots by themselves in the future as well
- Build a sense and avoid robot/Line Following Robot: This is the main goal of the course. By the end of the course students will understand everything that goes into a Line following robot
