Yes , but only the 4th 5th and 6th string If you don't loose this string then your neck could be bend dur to its pressure

Now, if you know that you'll be putting up an instrument for many months or years, I'd advise you to slacken the strings and the truss rod. And, if you've got an older instrument with a 'weaker' truss rod, or an instrument without an adjustable rod, you should slacken strings for longer-term storage.

2 - Keep the string tension on the neck, but loosen the strings one or two half steps. They don't need regular tension when in storage, but having no string tension at all can lead to neck bowing problems.

However, you should keep some tension on the neck, as having no tension at all can cause problems.
