Teaching Experience in detail in Vocal Music classes
I have been teaching vocal Carnatic music to varied group of learners for the past 5 years. The great aspect of teaching music is the experiments that the learners could do, once they get a hold on the raga being learnt. When it comes to kids, the most beautiful part is the way they reciprocate when they learn a new song. The kid's super excitement after learning a song is really good to look at, as a teacher. I prefer teaching in a group of 2 or 3(if in person) or individually(if online). My teaching style would for sure bring down great results as I believe, learning is a two way process. My students get to learn from me and at the same time, learn from all their trials and errors. I have a great memory of my learners, aged between 3 and 6, who had very greatly influenced their own parents to learn and sing along with them, which led their parents request for a class for elders and that's how, teaching elders also happened. Teaching music is a great learning experience to me, in that, teaching/ learning music doesn't happen when there's a barrier in our minds, in any aspect. However young or old, there's a magic happening each time you sing. As a teacher, getting the students to be able to do well there is the greatest bliss of all.
