Overview

GATE merit twice | History of Student-score Average of 75% | Multimedia assisted Classes | Daily Questionnaire

I cleared the GATE exam in Mechanical Engineering twice, during the B Tech degree course itself. and was among-st top 3 students in the class. Merit in GATE helped me receive MHRD Scholarship for MTech degree, which was focused on detailed research work in Nano-Mechanics. Since, I have been in continuous work with CSIR - National Aerospace Labs for research work & published scientific papers in international journals as well.

Practical & Research experience so gained, is brought in judicious use for teaching the upcoming candidates in Engineering field. The classes conducted by me therefore involve highest priority on concept clarity, practical examples, video presentations for easy understanding of processes, and daily questionnaire to hone answering skills.

GATE Coaching

"His classes have been most interesting. It is rare that a teacher comes up with latest technological updates related to subject topic. He does. I never found anyone teaching a tough subject like Heat Transfer so interestingly. - even the Convection topic was taught with smooth flow and detail. He took special effort in showing us videos to help us see practical examples of the topics. "

Why rate of condensation is higher on a polished surface compared to rusty surface ?

Polished means smooth, meaning lesser roughness - that is, condensed droplets don't remain held/collected on the surface, and rather easily get drained off. Polished means smooth, meaning lesser roughness - that is, condensed droplets don't remain held/collected on the surface, and rather easily get drained off. This is opposite to what happens on rusty surface which has significant corrosion and corresponding roughening which tries to hold condensed droplets. Water held on the surface cuts heat transfer from vapor to the cool metal surface thereby reducing condensation. in case of smooth surfaces/ polished ones, droplets drain immediately exposing the metal surface to vapor, thereby causing efficient heat transfer and augmented condensation rate.

Considering for friction between wheel and road, for a cycle moving forward - The friction would be in forward direction. The wheel wants to rotate and its bottom most part would like to go behind. This would be opposed by the road - hence forward friction

There are levels at which this can be taught. Literally, Stationary Wave is a wave that SEEMS to be still, or oscillating in a fixed region. Second, can be when the medium over which the wave exists is moving in opposite direction to the wave. So wrt the observer, the wave seems still, but it is actually moving wrt the medium/substrate/base. This discussion can then go in further detail.
