Elaborate sessions on:
1. Concept of part and assembly
2. Working as a system
3. CAD modelling of part (SOLIDWORKS)
4. CAD modelling of assembly (SOLIDWORKS)
5. FEA static simulation (SOLIDWORKS)
6. Drafting (2D)
7. Inputs required for fabrication
8. Manufacturing
9. Concept of 3D printing
10. Additive manufacturing techniques
11. Exercise sesisons on Part manufacturing and additive manufacturing (part cost to be beared by students.., approx Rs 2000 per part).
The above 10 topics will be covered in brief to give the students, understanding about how to generate CAD using the basic mathematics. Also, how CAD model can be positively converted to the actual part by manufacturing using the different techniques.
Many undergraduates find difficulties while joining the design team after completion of college. Major part will be effective communication through CAD, drawings and how to give inputs to vendor. Sometimes, the effective approach includes reduction in part cost also.
An outline of Value Engineering and Value approach will be also delivered during this session.
